"Sushi Plaza Menu"
I was approached by Sushi Plaza to create a menu for them. The design I came up with was a mix of traditional Japanese culture and modern city nightlife.
During research and creation of a moodboard I found out about the traditional Japanese stab binding technique which I used for the binding. The restauraunt was already well established and had a great modern interior design. Which in turn forced my hand to create a mixture of modern and traditional styles for the menu.
Unfortunately the binding technique turned out to be too costly and time consuming for additions to the menu. For the final project we used a plywood cover with the same pattern laser cut as the original. The final cover can be seen here.
